An Intimate Musical Experience in Your Living Room

What is a House Concert?

A house concert is exactly what it sounds like—a live music performance hosted in the comfort and intimacy of a private home. These special events create unique, personal connections between artists and audience members that simply can’t be replicated in traditional venues.

As a drummer, vocalist, and music creator, I bring a semi-acoustic performance right to your living room, backyard, or personal space, creating an unforgettable experience for you and your friends.

Why Host a House Concert?

  • Create a memorable experience for your friends and community
  • Enjoy professional live music in an intimate, relaxed setting
  • Connect directly with the artist through stories and conversation
  • Share the joy of music with people who matter to you
  • No financial burden as a host—the event is donation-based

How It Works

For the Host:

  1. Provide the Space: A living room, backyard, basement, or any private space where guests can gather comfortably and be seated for the performance.
  2. Invite Your Guests: Aim for 20-30 adult guests. I recommend inviting twice as many people as you hope will attend.
  3. Set the Scene: Arrange seating concert-style where everyone can see and hear the performance.
  4. Simple Hospitality: You’re welcome to provide drinks and snacks or make it a potluck where guests contribute.

For the Concert:

  1. Pre-Show Mingling: One hour of social time before the music begins.
  2. The Performance: About 60-75 minutes of music and storytelling.
  3. Donation-Based Model: No ticket price—guests are simply asked to make a donation to the artist after the show.
  4. Post-Show Connection: Time to chat, purchase merchandise, and enjoy the community you’ve brought together.

What Past Hosts Are Saying

“If you’re looking for a band to bring warm, light acoustic rock vibes to your venue or event, look no further than Robonzo. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing their music in two settings: a lively local nightspot and a more intimate house concert at my home. In both cases, Robonzo delivered an engaging and soulful performance that captivated the audience. Their sound blends heartfelt lyrics with acoustic melodies, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere perfect for a variety of occasions. The band is professional, talented, and sure to leave a lasting impression on your guests.”
—Dean Barber, Musician & Writer

“The house concert by Roberto with musician Johnny Burgin remains one of the highlights of our experiences at Tranquilo Retreat. Roberto provided great guidance, Johnny and the band beautifully sang the blues, and my guests listened in over a glass a wine and appetizers. We all enjoyed an incredible evening of fabulous music and community.”

FAQs

Q: Do I need a certain size home?
A: Not at all! House concerts work in all kinds of spaces. The only requirement is that all guests can be seated in the same area for the performance.

Q: Is there a cost to host?
A: No! These are donation-based events, so there’s no financial obligation for the host.

Q: What about equipment?
A: I bring everything needed for a semi-acoustic performance. Just provide the space and the audience!

Q: Are kids welcome?
A: These events work best as adult-only experiences, creating a focused listening environment. Children 10 and older who can sit quietly for a 75-minute performance are welcome.
